On Saturday the 15th of May, G4S Botswana made a donation of state-of-the-art cycling equipment to the Tsela Riders Cycling Club.

The event took place at G4S Botswana's office in Gaborone, and was attended by Mr.Robert Masitara, a Member of Parliament for Gaborone North West, and by the Director of Non-Motorised Transport, Boatametse Boat Modukanele, to name but a few of the high-profile attendees.

G4S Botswana's acting Managing Director Mr.Molefe Matlhape stressed the company's continuing commitment to give back to the local community, and the attendance of G4S 4teen sprinter Fanuel was further proof of this on-going goal.

The talented sprinter, who has recently come back from injury, to record some impressive results in the build-up to the Commonwealth Games later this year said, "At a time when many companies are experiencing financial constraints due to the economic climate, G4S have continued to be a great blessing to many. I’m happy to see what they have done for Tsela Riders. I believe this will go a long way in helping develop cycling in our country."

Tsela Riders Cycling Club have previously sent selected development teams and individuals to race around the country and to South Africa, which has resulted in great success. It is hoped that the support from G4S Botswana, will allow for this to continue.
