On Tuesday 17th August 2010 the young children of Wat Patumwan school in Thailand were treated to a day they will never forget when some of the G4S 4teen athletes hosted a unique sports day.

Chatchai Butdee from Thailand was joined by fellow athletes from G4S 4teen including: Mariana from Colombia, Mangal from India and Fanuel from Botswana, in his home country at the school north of Bangkok to donate new sports equipment and then take part in a number of fun packed activities for the 84 children.
The G4S 4teen athletes presented the excited children with bikes, footballs and goals, boxing bags and equipment and archery sets before demonstrating their skills and teaching all the children how to do each of their sport. The athletes were also joined by one of Thailand’s greatest boxers, 2008 Olympic gold medallist – Somjit Jongjorhor, who surprised the children and joined in the activities before presenting the children with certificates and presents from G4S. Commenting on the day Chatchai Butdee said: “I know how these children feel today, I went to a school just like this and can imagine what it would have been like to not only be given such wonderful gifts but to meet and play with athletes would be something I would never stop thinking about. It makes me feel very proud to be part of G4S today, when I am here seeing these children so happy because of what G4S is doing it makes me really happy too."
