World champion Omar Qaradeh, who is sponsored by G4S Jordan, won the gold medal during the Jordan International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Powerlifting Qualifying Championship for the London Paralympic games 2012 and broke a new world record of 176kg for his weight category of 48kg. The championship took place under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Ra’ad bin Zeid between the 20th and 28th of July.

Mr. Mohammad Al-Ali, G4S Jordan’s Managing Director said, “G4S Jordan has established a long term relationship with Omar as we have been supporting him since five years. We truly cannot express how proud we are of the fact that a Jordanian national has just broken his own world record twice with the final score of 176kg and has qualified for the London Paralympics games for 2012, adding to his previous successes that include the gold medals for the Istiklal International Championship and Asian Paralympics Championships in 2010, as well as the previous world records that he achieved in his category of 48kg during the Fazza International Championship and the International Weightlifting Championship last year.”

He added, “We are also proud to have supported the Jordanian team by providing them with uniform for this championship and are equally impressed by the numbers that they have achieved for our country this year round.”
