"G4S 4teen is giving me the support I need to achieve my dreams. One day I would like to be a G4S 4teen Ambassador just like Haile and to help give more back to Indian sport."

Mangal first picked up a bow and arrow at just three years of age in order to help hunt food for his tribe in north-eastern India. In order to strengthen the muscles in his hand he practiced with the inner of a rubber tyre before progressing on to a traditional bow and arrow.

His unique talent and dedication to the sport soon earned him a place at the prestigious JRD Tata National Archery Academy in Jamshedpur at just 14 years old – a training ground for multiple Indian Olympic archers. An impressive list of achievements over the past few years, including multiple national titles in his age group, has confirmed that Mangal is one of the finest young archers in India.

In 2009 Mangal moved across India to train in Pune where, in addition to applying himself to his sport, with the support of the G4S 4teen programme he is now learning English and taking computer studies.
