"I believe that the support G4S is giving me will assist me in improving my shooting. I also think that membership of the G4S 4teen team is helping to improve my social development skills by interacting with likeminded sports people from all over the world.”
Sharmin Akhter has represented Bangladesh in shooting since 2003, having first started competitively at 12 years old. She now shoots for the Bangladeshi National Sports Institute’s BKSP club in Savar and is one of the leading lights in her age group in Bangladesh.
The young hot-shot has her mind focused on emulating her sporting hero Malcolm Cooper MBE, four times an Olympian and winner of two Olympic gold medals. Like Cooper, Sharmin hopes one day to represent her country on the greatest sporting stage of all.
G4S 4teen athlete Sharmin Akhter from Bangladesh has been making real progress in her shooting since relocating to concentrate on her training.
