Zodwa Maphanga is spreading the popularity of table tennis in her country, having won the 2008 African Under-21 Cup and the 2008 South African Junior Championships. In 2009 she travelled to Botswana, at the request of the Botswana Table Tennis Federation, to assist in raising the profile of the sport there.
The G4S 4teen star is a member of an elite academy, the High Performance Centre, located in Pretoria, and is pushing hard to compete at the 2012 London Olympics, and return with the very first table tennis medal for her country.
