Former World Junior BMX Champion wins bronze medal in her first year in the elite category

Just one day ahead of her 19th birthday, Colombian BMX sensation Mariana Pajon secured third place and the bronze medal podium position in the fourth and final World Cup of the UCI Supercross World Cup series in Frejus in the south of France.
In her first year in the elite women's category, the former Junior World Champion was very satisfied with the result, which saw her finish the series in seventh place overall.
Next Mariana will line up for the Columbian national BMX championships to be held in her hometown of Medellin. She is hoping to retain the national title she has held since she was five years old.
Then she will compete in the Latin American Games in Chile, where she is the defending champion in the junior competition, but will compete for the first time in the elite category.
