Usain Bolt, Glen Mills and G4S
8 February 2011
Nigerian sprinter Obinna Metu visited the G4S office in Crawley last week on his way back from training in Jamaica with top sprinting coach Glen Mills.
Obinna spent time with G4S employees talking through his experiences over the last 2 months and the highlights from his trip; which included a one-on-one coaching session with Glen Mills on Christmas day and attending a party at Usain Bolts house!
Obinna was given the opportunity to spend 2 months in Jamaica through qualifying for additional athlete support on the G4S 4teen programme. He has the talent and determination to do great things at London 2012 but it’s only though experiences like this which will give him the opportunity to prove himself.
Obinna and employees enjoyed a Jamaican lunch that was put on and everyone had the opportunity to spend time asking questions and finding out more about his trip of a lifetime.
In addition to visiting the G4S office in the UK, Obinna stopped in at BBC World Service to chat to Russell Fuller about training and hanging out with the World's Fastest Man. You can listen to the full interview here.
