G4S’ 49ers lead the way in Palma after Day 2
The 49er fleet sailed late into the day, but Skandia Team GBR’s two G4S backed 49er crews of Chris Draper and Peter Greenhalgh, and Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes have made it a British 1-2 at the top of the table.
They currently find themselves tied on 12 points each, with the other Skandia Team GBR 49er crews also placing strongly in 6th and 7th place. Peter Greenhalgh commented that while the other crews were finding it difficult to be consistent in their performances in the tricky conditions, so far this has not been the case for himself and Chris.
Racing on Tuesday looks set to be disrupted, with strong winds forecast across Palma Bay, so there could still be some surprises in store.
